Lewis Capaldi’s genre is being described as Blue-eyed soul, it is the term that being used for artists who performed R&B songs back in the 90s. The captivation from Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent is actually at Lewis Capaldi’s sad voice that exudes tons of emotional feels. If you are a fan of Sam Smith’s Stay With Me, then Lewis Capaldi’s EP Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent is the right song for you. There are a lot of sad songs on this EP, I would say that Lewis Capaldi is the king of heartbreaking anthem now and he is 22-year-old.

Lewis Capaldi also worked with Malay or James Ryan Ho a long-time collaborator of Frank Ocean, Malay also participated on Nao’s Saturn album so clearly, Lewis Capaldi is at the right hand. Actually the song, Someone You Loved from this EP reminds me a lot of Calum Scott’s Dancing On My Own. I found most of the tracks of this EP is really such emotional healing for those who listen to it.

What I like about this EP is that this EP has been built along the years, so as a body of work, Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent has gone through a lot of different processes that I think also showing Lewis Capaldi’s growth as an artist himself. I do have few favourites from this EP, Someone You Loved, Fade, Lost On You and Don’t Get Me Wrong. I would say I will recommend this album to you guys. I feel like this album is perfect for those who are experience a hard time at the moment (just like me facing a hard life as a soon to be a graduate human being).

At some point watching the video, I could see that Lewis Capaldi is going to collaborate with Billie Eilish because I think they do have similar vibes. I do love the darker vibes through music because I think sometimes the writer’s emotions are just clearer.  Let us know what do you think about this EP on the comment section below.
