What you need to know is that it’s been years that actually Asian Community. MC Jin’s The Rest Is History in 2004 is one of the albums that really proofing it.

Back in 2004, MC Jin released his debut album titled The Rest is History. You might think that K Pop actually opened the way for Asian hip-hop community to the world, but it’s not 100% true. Back in the early 2000s, there is a group like Teriyaki Boyz that are actually was doing great, although sadly they are currently on hiatus Teriyaki Boyz managed to have 2 albums, Serious Japanese and Beef or Chicken.

But what making MC Jin is different from Teriyaki Boyz is that MC Jin is part of the Asian Community that actually still face a lot of discrimination in the Western world. That is why there are still a lot of Asian American people that choose to go back to their great parent’s homeland.

Anyways, I think the album The Rest Is History is great, it’s also featured several artists like Kanye West, Wyclef Jean and Lyfe. This is the reason why I am a fan of Kanye West, I think he open about working with other Asian artist and I think music itself is a great example of a no racism campaign.

I think what I like about MC Jin for The Rest is History that he embraced his Asianess, the track Learn Chinese is really funny, but at the same it’s true. The album, The Rest is History also incorporate certain Chinese too, overall yes I think the album is pretty decent. Another track that you might love is I Got A Love featuring Kanye West.
