If you’re a fan or Maroon 5, you must have heard him before, back in the 2010s he was auditioned as part of Maroon 5 member, and now he is a full time member of the group, because back at that time the keyboardist of Maroon 5’s Jesse Carmichael was taking a break. But PJ Morton himself is a solo artists himself, he was signed to Young Money Records, a record label own by Lil Wayne, but he move to another record label. On the 60 Annual Grammys Awards, PJ Morton was nominated for 2 Grammys Awards ; Best R&B Album, and Best R&B Song, for his album Gumbo, where he also covered How Deep Is Your Love, by The Bee Gees.
But before hands, PJ Morton also collaborated with his fellow Maroon 5 members ; Adam Levine, and James Valentine for the song Heavy in 2012. There’s an element of pop-rock, and a bit of R&B on the song. I could say that PJ Morton is such a creative person, back in my high school days the usage of social media, and online streaming platform wasn’t famous as now, so I didn’t know about all his songs, but they are such an amazing songs.
PJ Morton himself is a pastor’s kid, so one of the interesting song from the album Gumbo was the song called Religion, the remix feature got Lecrae on it. Where its basically on talking of blaming God, for every single bad things that happened to us. But I always remember Arthur Ashe’s saying ; If I were to say, “God, why me?” about the bad things, then I should have said, “God, why me?” about the good things that happened in my life. All I could say is that the song is really a meaningful song, because I don’t think that I view people through their religion or race. We might be different, but we might be the same, we are all family after all 🙂
But you blame your God when it’s all your fault
Where is the love that your God spoke of?
anyways don’t forget to leave a comment, or comments 🙂
