Idyllic Ideas of Sam Smith

Talking about my deepest and darkest secrets to the world makes me feel better. It’s cathartic. Sam Smith

Back in 2014 the single Stay With Me hit the world by storm..and I was mesmerised on how deep is the me music is not about where you came from, or how you look its truly your heart that speaks.

Sam Smith is just way to amazing, to be honest there are no such thing where Sam Smith put a bad song. Although the wait from 1 album to another album is quite long, 3 years but as a fan is worth it. Stay With Me could be your best heartbreaking song, and definitely check out my other lists for heartbreaking songs 🙂 (key : you need to read the blog). There is something from Smith’s voice that able to make you chill, and its a good thing. I know that most of his songs are very sad, and they don’t really party like…I feel like his songs will be the best for winter. Guys I love winter so probably his songs will be on my playlists on this upcoming winter 🙂

But actually I love Sam Smith collaboration as well, for his newer songs he got collaboration with Logic that’s very thoughtful, although the original version of this song also slay. I think Pray is talking about his own life, and also believe, its almost to be like personal reflection.

I’m young and I’m foolish, I’ve made bad decisions
I block out the news, turn my back on religion
Don’t have no degree, I’m somewhat naive
I’ve made it this far on my own

The idea of the song was came out after Sam Smith visit to Mosul in which quoted :

“I spent five days in Mosul and came back embarrassed that I had known so little about the world and other people’s lives,”- Sam Smith on Billboard

So after he came back he said that at the age of 25 he realised that not everything in this world are pretty, and there are people who suffer. There are comparison between sinner and a saint, because he was brought up in Catholic where he was told that being gay is a sin, however he does believe in God as stated in Rolling Stone, But yeah the song is really thoughtful ❤

“I’m not a saint…I’m more of a sinner”

Lay Me Down is another hit song by Sam Smith, this song tell a story where Sam Smith mourning at a funeral, at the same cathedral where he got married. To be honest the song is pretty sad but I definitely enjoyed it a lot. Also on every Sam Smith music videos there aren’t much of excessive animations, so you can enjoy it as much as you can, in fact he provided almost like a story telling way so as an audience you can relate to it the best.

If you’re someone that really enjoy such a sorrowful songs you need to listen to him, Too Good at Goodbye is one of my favourite song too, I’m looking forward for Sam Smith once I got my relationship, but for noww..I think I don’t have someone the way people here in Melbourne I love eating at Ramen shop, but the sad thing is that since I’m alone sometimes I also eat by myself, or with a strangers..and they always play LOSER by BIGBANG..yup that’s sad for me 🙂 But going back to Sam Smith yeahh definitely if I’m going to have a heartbreak I’m ready for it 🙂 🙂 🙂 But for now I’ll just enjoy my favourite things to do first before I really can’t 🙂 ❤
